In fact, this meant two separate hotel bedrooms, but they shared a hallway. Mine was small- perfect for one but might have been a squeeze for two people. The room might look very compact as you said but it's a standard size in Paris as we cannot change the Haussmanian Buildings, most of the hotel rooms in Paris are not very big, but the room is very cosy and very convenient for business trips as you said :) Indeed there is no holder for the shower head as there is a rain shower if you want to wash your hair.
